New phone, who dis?

The iconic Nokia 3310 stood as a symbol of indestructible reliability and timeless design, defining the mobile experience and nostalgia of the 2000s. So in 2018, when HMD Global – bearing the Nokia torch – challenged us to pitch a new retail demo experience (RDX) for their newly announced Android range, we were thrilled to answer the call. This led to a long-term partnership that successfully launched and marketed 58 new smartphones in stores across the globe.

Under the hood, we devised smart solutions to streamline in-store device management, including a scheduler to prevent device degradation, local analytics, and a tracking system to assist field agents on routine device inspections.

Our approach involved developing custom Android apps, 3D videos and varied creative content in over 30 languages for each model – boosting in-store device engagement and providing insights into consumer interests through analytics.

We created “Nikki” – a custom chatbot to discuss phone features and specs with users, through the in-store display units. Pre-built replies made conversations straightforward and were categorized by sentiment (positive, negative, neutral) for analytics. This data could aid with future device development and marketing focus.

Working with WKY was a pleasure – they always raised the bar in terms of creativity, implementation, and their customer service was second to none.
